Program

DAY 1 : AIRPORT – SOUTH COAST

On arrival at Bandaranayke International Airport, and transfer to the resort in the South Coast.
Proceed to hotel and check in.
Arrive in hotel where First PCR test will be conducted.
Clients are not allowed to leave the room until results are received.
Dinner & Overnight in hotel on the South Coast.

DAY 2 : SOUTH COAST – COLOMBO – SOUTH COAST

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning at leisure. (no activity arranged in case of delay of arrival of PCR results)
Lunch at hotel.
Afternoon proceed to Colombo, for a panoramic city tour of the commercial capital.
(Clients will need to remain in the vehicle for tour).
Dinner & Overnight in hotel on the South Coast.

DAY 3 : SOUTH COAST – YALA – SOUTH COAST

Breakfast. Leave to Yala with lunch packs.
Thereafter proceed late afternoon jeep safari in Yala National Park.
Yala National Park is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka, bordering the Indian Ocean. The park is situated in the dry semi-arid climatic region and rain is received mainly during the northeast monsoon. Yala hosts a variety of ecosystems ranging from moist monsoon forests to freshwater and marine wetlands. It is one of the 70 Important Bird Areas (IBAs) in Sri Lanka. Yala harbours 215 bird species including six endemic species of Sri Lanka. The number of mammals that has been recorded from the park is 44, and it has one of the highest leopard densities in the world.
On completion return to hotel.

DAY 4 : SOUTH COAST – GALLE - WELIGAMA – SOUTH COAST

Breakfast. Leave for Galle. Galle was a major port until about 100 years, but today still handles shipping and
sailing boats in the natural harbor.
Arrive in Galle visit the oldest landmark which is the massive Portuguese
and Dutch Fort which is a “World Heritage Site” in which the central city
is contained. But the city may be much older. Some scholars believe it to
be the “Tarshish” of the Old Testament, to which King Solomon sent his
merchant vessels, and to which Jonah fled from the Lord.
Proceed on a panoramic visit of the Galle Dutch Fort (clients will need to
remain in the vehicle for the tour)
Have lunch in Galle. (level 1 hotel)
On the return back to the hotel, clients will have the opportunity to witness the Stilt Fisherman along the coast.

DAY 5 : SOUTH COAST – SINHARAJA (3 HRS) – SOUTH COAST

Breakfast. Leave for Sinharaja with Lunck packs.
Thereafter proceed on a trek through the Sinharaja Forest Reserve.
Sinharaja is the only “UNESCO World Heritage Site” Rain Forest in Sri Lanka, with a very high rate of bio-diversity.
The vegetation is tropical wet evergreen forest and the area under the reserve
is 11,187 hectares.
Home to many endemic species, the national park and biodiversity
hotspot has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Many bird
watching expeditions are carried out throughout the year, one being the
Mixed Species Bird Flock study, which has been conducted since 1981. A
trek through the dense vegetation with binoculars, a camera and a guide
is the only way to take in the wondrous beauty that is Sinharaja.
Thereafter return to hotel.

DAY 6 : SOUTH COAST – PINNAWELA - KANDY – SOUTH COAST

Breakfast. Morning proceed to visit the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage., famous for the protection of orphaned elephants who are lost from the wild.
Thereafter proceed to Kandy for lunch. (level 1 hotel)
After lunch drive around the Kandy Lake for a Panaromic city tour of Kandy.
Thereafter proceed on a visit to the Royal Botanical Gardens located 6 km from Kandy which extend over an area of 60 acres. These gardens are considered among the richest in the world for the variety of ornamental species and spices that host.
Dinner & Overnight in hotel on the South Coast.

DAY 7 : SOUTH COAST – AIRPORT

Breakfast. Leave in time to connect with departure flight.
