Spend an evening exploring the historic Galle City on a tuk-tuk with a resident host.
The vibrant city of Galle is fun to be explored on a tuk-tuk as it allows visiting a few places where colonial influences have shaped modern-day life. The ride starts from the UNESCO Galle Fort where colonial nations built an impressive network infrastructure to strengthen military and economic activity. This living fort holds many stories of the host who grew up in these cobbled streets. The second stop gives you exclusive access to the Galle Services Club where many local championships were played during the colonial days. The next stop takes you right outside the fort to the famous Galle cricket stadium, where you get to know how cricket became an integral part of Sri Lankan culture. After a short ride into the city, the fish market is active with the afternoon catch where fishermen sell a variety of fish in all shapes colors, and smells. The last stop is the vegetable market housed in a building from the Dutch era where you get to know local vegetables that make up the delicious southern cuisine. Our package includes a knowledgeable host who will guide you throughout the tour, as well as refreshing stops. Along the way, you can choose between two-hour tours scheduled at either 9:00 am or 4:30 pm. Children aged 6 years and above are welcome to join the tour. To ensure your comfort, we recommend wearing active wear during the biking experience.
