Program

Day 1 : Katunayake | Dambulla

Arrival at the international airport in Colombo, formalities for entry and baggage claim. Meeting with guide and transfer to Dambulla.
Arrive in hotel where First PCR test will be conducted.
Clients are not allowed to leave the room until results are recived.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Dambulla

Day 2 : Dambulla | Kaudulla | Dambulla

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning at leisure. (no activity arranged in case of delay in PCR result arrival)
Lunch at hotel.
Late afternoon proceed on a Jeep Safari in Kaudulla National Park.
Kaudulla National Park is one of best national parks to spot Elephants in Sri Lanka. It is home to 200+ elephants, monkeys, crocodiles and even a handful of leopards. The park has opened in 2002, is surrounded by grasslands and can be visited year-round to see elephants and other great wildlife.

Day 3 : Dambulla | Sigiriya | Polonnaruwa| Dambulla

Breakfast at the hotel.
Morning excursion to the Rock Fortress of Sigiriya. Located 300 meters high, was built on top of a monolith of red stone that dominates a harmonious set of gardens. The palace built on the summit is reached by a narrow staircase that winds through the huge paws of a stone lion.
Lunch during the excursion.
In the afternoon excursion to Polonnaruwa, the ancient capital of the kingdom of Sri Lanka. Architectural complex consisting of temples, palaces and a pool in the shape of lotus.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Dambulla.

Day 4 : Dambulla | Anuradhapura | Dambulla

Breakfast at the hotel.
Thereafter leave for Anuradhapura. Anuradhapura, the capital of Sri Lanka from the 05th Century B.C. to the end of the 10th Century A.D. was the most celebrated of Sri Lanka’s ancient ruined cities. The city’s greatest treasures are its dagobas constructed of bricks and are hemispherical in shape. The most notable of these dagobas are the Ruvanveliseya dating back to the 2nd Century B.C. and is 300 feet in diameter, the Jetawanarama is 370 feet and one of the largest structure in the ancient world.

Return to hotel for lunch or lunch packs.
Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight in Dambulla.

Day 5 : Dambulla | Kandy

Breakfast at the hotel. Leave for Kandy.
Arrive in Kandy and visit to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth of Buddha, containing the most revered relic in Sri Lanka, and retaining extraordinary testimonies of the past with its greatest symbol of Buddhism.
(visit only on Weekdays between 11.30 a.m. – 01.30 p.m.)
Proceed to the hotel for lunch.
Visit the beautiful gardens Botanical Peradenya, located 6 km from Kandy which extend over an area of 60 acres. These gardens are considered among the richest in the world for the variety of ornamental species and spices that host.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Kandy.

Day 6 : Kandy | Pinnawela | Kandy

Breakfast at the hotel.
Morning proceed to visit the Pinnawela Orphanage, famous for the protection of orphaned elephants who are lost from the wild.
Return to hotel for lunch.
Optional – proceed on a drive around the Kandy lake (clients will need to remain in vehicle)
Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Kandy.

Day 7 : Kandy | Colombo

Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure to Colombo, for lunch at hotel.
Arrival in Colombo and in the afternoon a short tour of the country's commercial capital.
(clients will remain in the vehicle during the tour).

Day 8 : Colombo | Katunayake
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to the airport for flights to return to the city of origin.
